Doug Weiss
Doug Weiss, Ph.D. is a nationally known author and therapist. He has appeared on such shows as Oprah, Sally Jesse Raphael, Leeza, Fox Files and many other national television and radio shows. He is the author of such books as, The Final Freedom: Pioneering Sexual Addiction Recovery, Partners: Healing From His Addiction, Beyond Love, Steps of Hope and 101 Practical Exercises for Sexual Addiction Recovery as well as several articles in recovery and professional magazines dealing with the topic of sexual addiction. Dr. Weiss has traveled the country training professionals in the treatment of sexual addiction and sexual abuse. He has served as a consultant to several psychiatric hospitals in the areas of sex addiction and sex abuse. Douglas Weiss, Ph.D. is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Dr. Weiss is currently the executive director of Heart to Heart Counseling Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Patrick Carnes
Patrick Carnes, Ph.D., currently serves as Executive Director at A Gentle Path Program for the treatment of sexual and addictive disorders at Pine Grove in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Carnes is a nationally known speaker and writer on sexual addiction and recovery.
Carnes is the co-editor of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity: The Journal of Treatment and Prevention, the official journal of the National Council of Sexual Addiction/Compulsivity, an organization for which he also serves as a board member.
He also serves on the national advisory board of the American Academy of Health Care Providers in the Addictive Disorders.
To help professionals determine whether a sexual addiction is present, Carnes has developed the Sexual Addiction Screening Test (SAST), an assessment tool specially designed for this purpose.
Steve and Kathy Gallagher
Steve and Kathy Gallagher, founders of Pure Life Ministries, have dedicated their lives to helping men overcome sexual sin through holiness and a passionate pursuit of Jesus Christ. In 1986, they started a small support group in the living room of their home.
